 A Javaccino is the blended version of our latte or mocha.
They can be prepared using our Javaccino premix, or “by the drink.” Most of our Javaccino’s will be prepared using the premix as this will help us with the speed. Our Javaccino premix is made using whole milk. If a customer requests a Javaccino using a different milk base, we will prepare it “by the drink.”

As always, any drink including the Javaccino can be made with any flavor combination.

 

MAKING JAVACCINO WITH PREMIX

 

  1. Use the selected size cold cup as your measuring device. Fill the cold cup completely full of ice and pour the ice into your blender pitcher.
  2. Next, pour the Javaccino premix into the blender so that the premix is just below the top of the ice.
  3. Add the requested flavors to the pitcher. We will add all syrups, sauces and powders directly to the pitcher.
  4. Place your pitcher on the blender and blend on level 3.
  5. If the Javaccino has a chocolate sauce or caramel sauce in the drink, we will also sauce the cup. While your Javaccino is blending, use the squeeze bottle to put a ring of chocolate or caramel sauce around the outside of the cold cup.
  6. Pour the Javaccino into the cold cup and top with whip cream and chocolate or caramel drizzle if requested.

Next, let’s learn how to make a Javaccino by the drink. This will be done if the customer orders a milk base other than whole milk.

 

BY THE DRINK

 

  1. Use the selected size cold cup as your measuring device. Fill the cold cup completely full of ice and pour the ice into your blender pitcher.
  2. Next, pour the requested milk base into the pitcher so that it is just below the top of the ice.
  3. Add the appropriate espresso shot(s) into the pitcher.
  4. Add the appropriate amount of Javaccino powder into the pitcher.
  5. Add the requested flavors to the pitcher. We will add all syrups, sauces and powders directly to the pitcher.
  6. Place your pitcher on the blender and blend on level 3.
  7. If the Javaccino has a chocolate sauce or caramel sauce in the drink, we will also sauce the cup. While your Javaccino is blending, use the squeeze bottle to put a ring of chocolate or caramel sauce around the outside of the cold cup.
  8. Pour the Javaccino into the cold cup and top with whip cream and chocolate or caramel drizzle if requested.

MAKING JAVACCINO PREMIX

 

Javaccino Premix is a batch recipe that contains 2 lbs of Javaccino powder, 18 shots of espresso, and 1 gallon of whole milk. To prepare the premix, we will need our barista scale, a mixing bowl, and a whisk. Use the following steps to prepare a batch of Javaccino premix.

  1. Place the mixing bowl onto your barista scale and press the on/off button to reset the weight to zero.
  2. Add 2 lbs of the Javaccino powder into a bowl and set aside
  3. Take the 18 shots of hot espresso and put into the mixing bowl. The Espresso shots are typically collected before we start making the premix and kept in the fridge till we are ready to make the premix. If this is the case, use the steam wand on the espresso machine to heat the espresso shots.
  4. Add the pre weighted 2 lbs of javaccino powder.
  5. Mix the hot espresso shots into the Javaccino powder until the Javaccino powder is dissolved and there are no lumps.
  6. Pour one gallon of whole milk into the mixing bowl. Use the whisk to mix in the milk until you achieve a consistent color.
  7. Pour the Javaccino premix into a serving pitcher and table the pitcher. Write the expiration date for 3 days from when the batch was prepared.
  8. You can then place the Javaccino premix into the fridge and it is ready to serve.
